Financial Return from Weed and Disease Management Practices in Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) in Southern Ghana

چکیده
Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) yield and financial return can be negatively affected by weeds the combination of early leaf spot disease [ Passalora arachidicola (Hori) U. Braun] late Nothopassalora personata (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Braun, C. Nakash., Videira Crous] in Ghana. Research was conducted southern Ghana to evaluate hand-weeding, herbicide applied preemergence (PRE) or postemergence (POST), a PRE POST herbicides, herbicides supplemented with hand-weeding management practices (i.e., no fungicide two sequential applications 45 60 days after planting). Although some differences severity were observed based on weed management, peanut pod cost pest individually but not interaction these treatment factors. The highest included without hand weeding followed herbicide.

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Omics and Biotechnology in China
Peanut is one of the most important crops in the world, both for vegetative oil and as a protein source. Biotechnology approaches provide promising ways to increase peanut productivity, either through improved seed quality or stress resistance. These approaches require the identification of genes that control important agronomical traits, the understanding of gene regulation and metabolic pathw...

Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.) is the fourth most consumed oleaginous plant in the world, producing seeds with high contents of lipids, proteins, vitamins, and carbohydrates. Biological activities of different extracts of this species have already been evaluated by many researchers, including antioxidant, antitumoral, and antibacterial. In this work, the allelopathic activity of extracts from dif...
متن کاملThe Proteins of the Peanut, Arachis Hypogaea.
The ravages of the boll weevil have made it unprofitable to grow cotton in various sections throughout the South. In many regions where the growing of cotton has been decreased, peanuts are now being grown as a supplementary crop. This has caused a large increase in the production of peanuts in the United States. A number of mills which in the past produced cottonseed oil are now using their pr...
متن کاملCloning and Functional Analysis of Three Diacylglycerol Acyltransferase Genes from Peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.)
Diacylglycerol acyltransferase (DGAT) catalyzes the final and only committed acylation step in the synthesis of triacylglycerols. In this study, three novel AhDGATs genes were identified and isolated from peanut. Quantitative real-time RT-PCR analysis indicated that the AhDGAT1-2 transcript was more abundant in roots, seeds, and cotyledons, whereas the transcript abundances of AhDGAT1-1 and AhD...
